Jarita Berry is a black conservative woman living in Birmingham, Alabama Some would say she is a triple minority: woman, black and a proud Conservative living in a Democrat dominated city. She’s contemplating moving back to her home state of Illinois, where her vote would count for something. She votes Independent.
By day, Jarita is an educator and editor and publisher of the blog Black Southern Conservative. Jarita earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications emphasis Corporate Media from Northern Illinois University. She also has a Masters in Elementary Education from Alabama State University.

Feminist (ˈfɛmɪnɪst): 1. a person who advocates equal rights for women (n) 2. of, relating to, or advocating feminism (adj). I believe the goals of feminism are inconsistent with the liberal agenda and instead rooted in conservative values. By professing the backwards philosophies of modern-day liberal "feminism," women are working against themselves in achieving true, God-given equality and their ability to pursue happiness.
